PEG

On my way back from Perugia, this "I'm-so-posh-and-soooooooooo-much-richer-than-you" old lady was observing me with curiosity while I was preparing a coffee for one of her fellow passengers, I thought she might want something so I asked her:
- hello Madame, can I get you anything?
She looked at me and faking a smile asked me:
- have you got FRESH MILK on board?
She really emphasised the fact the she was expecting ME to get HER, the super posh lady seated in 8c, FRESH.MILK
Well, ladies and gents, I work for a low cost company and believe me, the plane that I work in is not very big, we don't have refrigerators and... No, we don't keep cows in the back galley.
By the way she looked at me I'm 100% sure that she thought I wan gonna head to the back where we hide our cow and do this

She wasn't looking very happy when I showed her this:

She did not buy the coffee... :(

TRF-MRS

It's quite sad having to start like this, but today I've had one of my worst experiences on board.
I've had quite a long day today: Venice - Marseille. On the way to Marseille there was a gentleman on his sixties seated in 4D, he was rude from the very beginning: being unpolite, rude and demanding.
I had to make a PA informing the passengers of something.
I did it.
My Number 4, a lovely girl called Lucy, came to the front galley and told me that this gentleman said that he couldn't understand anything, he asked my colleague which language I was talking in and she replied that English. The gentleman said it was impossible and my colleague told him that I'm Spanish and that's my accent, so the passenger replied: "tell her that she has to make the PA again, and she better sound English this time"
I'm still in shock. In 4 years I've been working in a plane I've never felt so bad because of a passenger before.
I don't sound English because I'm not English, I'm Spanish and that's my accent which by the way nobody has ever complaint about and everybody understands me and I've been always able to cumincate with everybody.
There's nothing that makes a cabin crew feel worse than a nasty, rude and racist passenger when you woke up at 3 o'clock in the morning to spent 12 hours inside the plane taking care of passengers, serving them drinks and snacks, being their psychologist their nurse and their puke cleaner.
Please be nice to cabin crew, we really do appreciate a simple smile...

I need a glass of wine.

At last!

I've been working for 4 years, two months and 25 days in what I always wanted to become: air hostess.
During these four years thousands of things had happened to me and I can't quite understand why haven't I started a blog before. I want to be able to remember all things that happen on board and read this blog in the future and crack myself up.
I'm Sara, I'm 28 and I live in London although I'm from Barcelona and here you'll find all the crazy stuff that happens on board the Boeing 737!
